Cats never cease to amaze us with how they get adopted.

Take this story, for example, about a man finding a random cat in his apartment, giving him the home he needed - just when he experienced a harsh time in his life that the cat helped him to go through. Seemingly random, but if you've read more than one cat adoption story in your life, you can recognize the work of the Cat Distribution System when you see it. It might seem like an innocent coincidence with a happy ending, but cat lovers actually know it's much more than that.

And that's exactly what happened to this man here, who found a kitten on the loneliest birthday he has ever experienced. He said he was fresh off a breakup - so probably planned to celebrate his birthday with his partner, who was no longer there. But that's when the magic of the Cat Distribution System came in, in the form of a meowing kitten at the side of the road, demanding help - but also willing to help the person in return. It's really not clear who needed who the most in that moment.

The best thing about this adoption story, besides the ameowzing work of the CDS for both the kitten and the person, is that it's told in hindsight. All this thing happened a year ago, which means this man is telling us all about his cat - and showing how she's grown. She's no longer the scared kitten at the roadside, needing her forever home as soon as possible. You'll see for yourself in the pictures added - she's a house princess now, living her best life. And that fact puts a big smile on all our faces.
